Djassi Africa partners with UNDP to boost development opportunities in Lusophone Africa countries



The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) serves as the operational arm of the United Nations at a country level to promote sustainable development, eradication of poverty, advancement of women, among other things. The goal is to seek practical and innovative solutions to complex development challenges of the countries.


Djassi Africa, powered by FS-360, invests in African tech startups and ecosystem builders through venture building, capacity building, operational support, and access to global networks with the vision of shaping the future of Africa.


Djassi Africa and UNDP are joining forces to accelerate development and entrepreneurship in Lusophone Africa countries, and empower the innovation ecosystems by discovering, developing, and enabling entrepreneurs and innovative solutions that will boost the digital economy and trigger socio-economic prosperity in these countries.

The two parties will cooperate in the following strategic areas:

  • Implement an innovation program across the five African Portuguese-speaking countries (Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, and Sao Tome and Principe) to develop local solutions to tackle development problems and COVID-19 challenges.

  • Strengthen the UNDP Accelerator Labs in Guinea-Bissau established to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

  • Develop programs and interventions to enable the innovation ecosystem in Guinea-Bissau, as well as stimulating entrepreneurship, youth employment and digital inclusion in the country.

This strategic partnership between Djassi Africa and UNDP is expected to boost the innovation ecosystems, strengthen cross country collaboration, and drive positive impact in Lusophone Africa countries.
